The road in question leads to two big towns where cocoa is produced on a large scale.
According to Kwahu.info analyst, the residents says, the deplorable nature of the road has affected crop production in the area. This is because they are unable to use the road whenever it rains.
Their children too are compelled by the poor nature of the road to absent themselves from school whenever it rains. Their daily farming activities also come to a halt too as a result of this same situation.
Speaking to drivers and the road users, they have stated emphatically that they won`t vote in this year’s election if the authorities fail to attend to their distress call.
``we have told the Member of Parliament for this area but they keep on tossing us. We are all citizens of this nation but we don’t understand why we are been looked down up in terms of development so on this note we won’t vote in the impending elections`` they stressed.
The Nifahene of the town, Nana Abrokwah has also revealed that, the road was give to a contractor for past ten(10) years to construct but since then they haven’t heard anything heard nor seen the man.
``This road has been given to a contractor who even purchased construction materials but since then, they haven’t heard from him; over 100 bags of cement have caked whiles the iron rods have also rusted``
